About Us
Jennifer Vreugdenhil-Rowlands
Ecologist, Vreugdentil Ecologie

Originally English, I have now lived and worked in Zeeland, the Netherlands for the last 10 years. My academic background is in ecology and environmental science, which I studied in the UK. As an ornithologist, I am passionate about conservation, and research that benefits and enhances our understanding of birds.
I’m a qualified bird ringer and a member of the Saeftinghe and Nebularia ringing groups, where I actively contribute to monitoring bird populations. My interest in ornithology led me to intiiate the first research project on Turtle Doves in Zeeland in 2018, using GPS technology to gain insights into their breeding habitat preferences. This project has since expanded into further research on Turtle Doves, aimed at improving conservation efforts for this species.

Special thanks to...
Due to the complex situation of the Turtle Dove, each project relies on the knowledge and support of many individuals, representing many organizations and institutions.

Following the completion of our third project, there are now too many people to name here, but without you, these projects would not have been possible!

Thank you!
